How can i make a halo 3 machinima without a capture card?

I heard you could make halo 3 machinima without a capture card but i don’t know how to do it.
Without a capture card, you could set up a camera on a tripod/stand/books and just tape scenes, gameplay, etc. that you’re going to use, then cut and paste the frames as you need and fill in dialogue.
May seem like a crude way to do this, but it’ll work without too much hassle.
(As an added bonus you can zoom in on characters, etc.)
well you could hook up the video/ audio cables to the back of the OUTPUT tv slot on the back and then plug it in to one of those tvs that have DVD recorders like where you put in a blank DVD and then you hit record. then watch it on PC and cut clips out of dvd
