What’s the difference between Halo 3 and Halo 3: ODST?

I am deciding to either get Halo 3 or Halo 3: ODST, but what is the real difference? Is there like a couple more multiplayer maps and levels, weapons, and more maps to forge.

Halo 3 has Master Chief, and basically the same gameplay as Halo 1/2
Halo 3: ODST is objective-based… objectives sort of like Star Wars Battlefront 2, only much better than the ones in that game xD. You aren’t a supersoldier spartan, just a shock trooper who has to do missions you’d find normal troops doing. Like setting detonators on a bridge to eliminate Covenant(almost said Combine, lol… been playing HL2 too much) soldiers. You won’t be faced against huge over-powered mobs as much as Master Chief, and if you do, it’ll probably be with a squadron.
completely different games. 3 has master chief, but odst you play as an odst
ODST is a diffrent game u play as an orbital drop shock trooper not as master chief. u get all the multiplayer maps from halo 3 plus all map packs and new maps check gamestop.com they got more info on it
ok they are diff games but yu should get 3 so you kno the part of the story.
my brother tanner left a couple things out its open world, and a new mode fire fight
Get odst basically odst takes all levels from 3 and all features and adds new modes and new story with new levels new forger
Basically its open world like grand theft auto so only 1 story level but its huge city new mambasa With a new main character who is a human so you cant jump 50 feet anymore like halo 3 you die in 4 shots on legendary and you have no regenerating health it a lot more strategic and slower paced with stealythy sneaking around.
