With the xbox 360 can you play Original xbox games?

If you have an xbox higher than the arcade, most xbox games will work but none will work with the xbox 360 Arcade version
Very few. Found that out the hard way. and it doesn’t matter if you bought the cheaper arcade version or not. I have the Platinum.
Yes you can play originals on the 360. But not vise versa.
Most xbox games work on a 360. not all however. there are lists online. search on google. if you buy games at games stop it tells you on the gamestop label on each game.

You need to be net-connected to download updates fororiginal Xbox games that will play on the 360. Not all games have been converted; see for a list of compatible games.
You can only play original X-box games that are backwards compatible. Here are the list of games that have backwards compatibility.

If it is an xbox 360 arcade then it cannot play original xbox games, where as the other two xbox 360’s can play them.
You can play various xbox original games on your 360 Console, but some will not play as you need an update to play all games.
Either you get a special disk from gaming stores that updates your xbox 360 or you go on xbox live marketplace and download the update with microsoft points. This update is needed as you can’t play most of the original xbox games. Good Luck.
